Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients
220g Flour
5g Salt
1g Baking Soda
2g Baking Powder
Wet Ingredients 1
1 egg
125g Starter
5g Vanilla
Wet Ingredients 2
113g Butter, Cold, Cubed
200g Sugar
340g Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the egg, vanilla extract and sourdough starter until smooth.
  3. Mix butter and sugar with the paddle attachment until it forms small crumbles, 60 seconds. Add the chocolate chips and mix 50 seconds. Scrape down the sides of the bowl.
  4. Add the dry ingredients and mix on low-speed until the batter starts to become a crumbly mixture, 20-30 seconds. Pour in the egg mixture and mix until the dough comes together for 30 seconds.
  5. Rest dough for 24h.
  6. Portion dough into balls, place on parchment lined baking tray.
  7. Bake at 375F for 18 minutes.
